Middle School Instruction

In the Lexington One cluster, the journey into the world of music begins in sixth grade when students embark on their musical voyage in the realm of band. Our esteemed Lexington High School serves as the destination for the musical aspirations of students from two primary feeder schools: Beechwood Middle School and Pleasant Hill Middle School.

From the very outset, students in our cluster are immersed in a comprehensive instrumental education program. Our students showcase their musical prowess by earning coveted spots in various distinguished ensembles, including the district honor band, South Carolina region bands, and the prestigious All State bands.

Their commitment to musical excellence extends into the middle school years, where seventh and eighth-grade students actively engage in a multitude of musical experiences. They participate in significant events such as the South Carolina Band Directors Association Concert Performance Assessment, the South Carolina Band Directors Association State Concert Festival, regional concert band festivals, Solo and Ensemble competitions, and various honor ensembles.

This commitment to musical education and achievement at such a young age not only enriches the lives of our students but also forms the bedrock of a vibrant and thriving musical community within the Lexington One cluster.
